At the end of this lesson, students will be able to…

 

• understand the role of a curator, the skills a curator must have and how a show is curated.

• create a mission statement for an art exhibit.

• understand the importance of image sequence, juxtaposition and layout in conveying the art exhibit’s mission statement

• research and have an awareness of all aspects of a career in Museum Management and Curatorship

• have an understanding of which post-secondary programs offer courses in Museum Management & Curatorship and the entrance requirements for these programs

• practice completing a critique applying knowledge of the elements and principles of design and interpretation of symbols to

• understand how spirituality is a common component of many artistic products, recognize the power of incorporating words into artwork, as a way of expressing an artist’s voice and adding new extensions to an artist’s work  by using meditation as part of the process and motivation for creating art

• learn more about the artistic process and artwork of Juss Kaur by practicing her style.
