• apply the Creative Process in the creation of a line drawing and a poem;
• demonstrate understanding of Sikh heritage in relation to the perspective Kaur has on her parents’ immigration;
• use line and shape when creating an artwork that addresses issues of cultural identity;
• incorporate symbolism in your own poem to communicate a message about your identity.
